If you are paying via private pay or have a co-pay, payment is expected at the time of service.
Clients will be charged the full fee for services if they do not cancel at least 48 hours before their appointment or if they no-show.
I use Ivy pay to process payments, which we’ll set up in our intake session. Ivy pay is a HIPAA-compliant credit card processing service, which is secure and confidential. Your card information is stored with Ivy pay and I don’t have access to it.
1. During the intake session, you’ll provide me with your mobile phone number, which I’ll enter into my Ivy Pay app along with a charge for the session fee.
2. Ivy Pay will text you a secure link which leads to a page where you’ll enter your credit card information and approve the first charge.
3. For future sessions, I’ll use Ivy Pay to charge the stored card you added during the first session. You’ll get a text informing you after each charge.
You’ll only be asked to enter your credit card information once (unless you need to change the card), and you don’t need to download an app.
Currently, I accept Florida Blue, Aetna, Cigna, Oscar Health, and United Healthcare.
I also accept private pay and can issue a superbill for out-of-network benefits.
When you use insurance, you must have a “diagnosis” for the insurance company to process the claim.
Mental health diagnoses can stay in your medical history for an indefinite amount of time.
Some mental health diagnoses can affect whether you can get life insurance or, in some instances, certain jobs.
Insurance companies can limit the number of therapy sessions they reimburse. They can limit the length of time each session can last. This means you may have to settle for a shorter session than the therapist would typically do.
Your insurance company gets to decide what type of treatment is considered “medically necessary.” That means if you’re coming to therapy to address grief, your insurance could refuse to cover the cost of sessions because “grief” is not an official mental health diagnosis recognized by insurance companies.
When you use insurance, your insurance company will have access to your entire record if they request it. This means there is additional risk to your confidentiality and ability to maintain privacy around your medical records.
If an insurance claim is denied, you’re still responsible for the full cost of the services provided. Large, unexpected bills are never a pleasant surprise, especially when services occurred many months in the past. With private pay you don’t have to worry about unexpected bills for past service showing up.
Teletherapy may not be covered by all insurance plans. Most plans opted to cover telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic, but this may change in the future and your eligibility for teletherapy may change at any time.
The option to pay privately makes it easier for you to find a therapist you really fit well with and connect with, instead of having to go with a therapist who is in network and may not be a good fit.
Only you can decide whether private pay is the right choice for you, especially if you have insurance that covers another provider.
Telethelth therapy allows me to meet you anywhere you are. By having a virtual practice, I am able to provide services to anyone in Florida, regardless of geography.
All you need is an internet-connected gadget equipped with a webcam and microphone, as well as a calm, private place. I conduct my sessions via Doxyme.

I currently offer in-person sessions in the Treasure Coast, Florida.
Many individuals benefit from treatment. Therapy is an investment in yourself, but it is also a form of self-compassion and self-care that can have long-term benefits.
Therapy provides a safe space for us to process those challenging ideas, emotions, and sentiments. It can provide us the abilities and resources we need to deal with life's challenges more effectively. These abilities can help us become more self-aware, deal with difficult circumstances, and lead the most fulfilling lives possible in accordance with our moral principles.
Therapy works best when you are committed to the process. That is why it is critical to locate the therapist and type of therapy that are most effective for you. If I do not provide the type of therapy you are searching for, I will assist you in finding someone who does.
Our initial meeting will involve a discussion of your background, primary issues, and what brought you to therapy. We'll discuss your therapy goals and revisit them on a frequent basis over the course of treatment. We will discuss your right to confidentiality, informed consent, and any other concerns you may have.
Therapy sessions are targeted to your specific needs and goals, which we will determine together during your first session. Our sessions will include a combination of talk therapy, learning and applying new skills, as well as, mindfulness/body-based activities.
Therapy sessions are tailored to your needs and the goals we identify together during your first session.
The length of time you’re in therapy will depend on a variety of things, including:
the severity of your symptoms
how much time you spend working on skills between sessions
whether you want to solve a single issue or work on deeper issues
your financial considerations
As you go through sessions, we’ll talk about your progress periodically and will adjust our plans according to your needs.
Appointments must be cancelled at least 48 hours of the appointment start time. You can cancel/reschedule an appointment with me by contacting me directly via text at least 48 hours before the start of our session.
If an appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, you’ll be charged the full session fee via Ivy Pay.
No-Show Fee:
If you don’t cancel your session and don’t show up to your session at the scheduled time, you’ll be charged the full session fee via Ivy Pay.
Late-cancel & no-show fees are non-refundable.
What we discuss throughout our sessions will remain confidential. I’m only able to share your information if you give me written & signed permission to do so. There are a few situations where I must break confidentiality.
Some of these scenarios include:
If I have cause to believe you might seriously harm or kill yourself, or if you tell me you intend to harm or kill yourself.
If I have reason to believe you may seriously harm or kill someone else, or if you tell me you intend to harm or kill someone else.
If you inform me that a child or vulnerable/dependent adult is being abused.
If directed by a judge.
I cannot guarantee your confidentiality if you attend virtual therapy in a common area of your house, in public, or anywhere else where others can see or hear you. I recommend finding a quiet place where you may close the door between yourself and people in your environment.
I offer therapeutic sessions during the following times:
Monday – Friday: 9am – 3pm (Last appointment is 3pm)
Call or text for after hours availabilities.
I do my best to respond to contacts within one business day, however I’m not always able to do so. Please know that I’ll get back to you as soon as I am able.
I do not respond to text messages, emails, or phone conversations after 7 p.m. or before 9 a.m. I do not offer on-call or emergency mental health services.
If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
I offer a 10 minute consultation to see whether we are a good fit for each other. Simply click the 'Schedule Free Consultation' option below and fill out the form. I will receive the request and we may schedule a consultation time.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item.
• You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
